Disparités sociales en éducation en Afrique sub-saharienne : Genre, localisation géographique et revenu du ménage

06017; Dans ce texte, nous poursuivons deux objectifs complémentaires : le premier consiste à offrir une description de l'ampleur des disparités sociales qui existent dans les systèmes éducatifs des pays de l'Afrique au Sud du Sahara principalement dans la période actuelle mais aussi en lui donnant une perspective temporelle; le second cherche à identifier certains des facteurs qui peuvent rendre compte des disparités constatées ou des actions qui ont visé à les réduire.

Cost and Financing of Education and its Impact on Coverage and Quality of Services and Efficiency and Equity in Sub-Saharan African Countries

07052; In this chapter, we take mostly an international comparative perspective limited to Sub-Saharan African countries. First, we analyse first the macro picture and the public finance dimension, analyzing the systemic choices made in the distribution of public resources across levels and types of education. Second, we move to unit cost estimates and the factors accounting for their level in a given country and to their variation across the different countries of the region. Finally, we examine the implication of the choices made in the financial dimension upon outcomes (coverage and quality of educationl services), birnging issues of efficiency and equity into the analysis.

The second objective aims at identifying some of the factors that may explain these disparities or the impact of the actions targeted to their reduction.

Une éducation pour tous de qualité : une analyse statistique sur les pays d'Afrique subsaharienne

Cette étude est la première analyse comparative de la qualité de l'éducation en Afrique subsaharienne basée sur une trentaine de pays. La fusion des deux évaluations existantes en Afrique subsaharienne (SACMEQ et PASEC) permet de disposer d'indicateurs comparables pour vingt-neuf pays. Nous nous proposons d’ajuster ici l’objectif initial de la Scolarisation Primaire Universelle (SPU) à un objectif plus restrictif de Scolarisation Primaire Universelle de Qualité (SPUQ), où la majorité des élèves terminent le cycle primaire en ayant acquis un socle minimum de connaissances et de compétences en lecture et en mathématiques. Analyze and simulation a dynamic of soil indicators fertility under different agricultural management practices in cotton area of Togo

Using data observed during 20 to 40 years in different agro-ecosystems of Togo, we analyzed soil fertility dynamic under different agricultural management practices. Tree soil C models of varying complexity were tested, and the most accurate in terms of soil C dynamics description in these tropical soils was associated with the QUEFTS model and with nutrient partial balance to analyze the effect of each agricultural management practice.
